Al Ahly’s winger and Angola international, Geraldo, discusses his team’s potential in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Geraldo expressed his appreciation to the Egyptian fans who is supporting him since he arrived to the AFCON. On his team’s chances in the tournament, the 27-year-old stated, “We aim to reach the round of 16 and then compete for the top places in the AFCON.”
He added, “Tomorrow’s match against Tunisia is very strong especially that both teams have exceptional players who play for strong teams. Winning tomorrow will be Angola’s start in reaching the second round of the AFCON.”
The Antelopes are set to face the Eagles of Carthage at 13:00 CLT in Group E opener at Suez Stadium.
